About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
BPsyc graduates will possess a broad and deep understanding of the various ways in which psychological knowledge and principles can be used to address research questions and solve practical problems. They will be able to apply such principles in a variety of real-world situations, in a manner that is reflexive, culturally appropriate and sensitive to human diversity. Our graduates will possess strong critical and creative thinking skills, and will be clear and persuasive communicators. They will also have a deep appreciation of the broader social and cultural contexts in which human behaviour occurs. BPsyc graduates will be able to understand and apply professional and ethical principles to issues of sociocultural and international significance, with emphasis on the cultural context of Aotearoa and values of Te Tiriti.
