What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have the research, thinking and communication skills necessary to make a culturally appropriate and significant contribution to contemporary and traditional Maori, Pacific and Indigenous theories, issues and development. They will be equipped for work in the public and private sectors, particularly in roles that revolve around Maori, Pacific or Indigenous people and communities.

Minimum requirements
The interdisciplinary 180-point Master of Indigenous Studies qualification will be open to social sciences, humanities, education and law graduates, as well as graduates with relevant backgrounds and interests from other disciplines. A Bachelor s degree in a relevant learning area with a B grade average will be required. In some cases, it may be possible for students to have prior non-credentialed learning recognised for the purposes of admission to or credit towards a course or the programme (RPL credit).
