About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates will be able to demonstrate high-level understanding of the interconnected aspects of climate change science and policy, including physical causes, impacts, response measures and strategies in adaptation and mitigation, at local/national/international levels. They will be able to access, critique and apply relevant climate change scientific or policy research methods and evidence to scientific and policy questions, and apply knowledge about communication and behaviour change across cultures particularly with Maori and Pasifika communities. Graduates will be independent thinkers, able to continuously update their understanding and practice in the light of emerging knowledge, and critically reflect on their own knowledge framing. They will understand and demonstrate intellectual integrity and the ethics of scholarship and policy advice, and be active and engaged global citizens. Graduates will be well prepared to take on analytical and leadership roles in relevant science or policy advice sectors, and some may continue on to doctoral study.
