About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

Graduates will have knowledge of the interdisciplinary theoretical and comparative literature on human migration, which they will use to analyse practical and theoretical problems. They will communicate their ideas effectively in writing and orally. Their knowledge will inform their roles in public sector agencies and non-governmental bodies that work on human migration. Some graduates will be able to continue to the Postgraduate Diploma in Migration Studies (VI002G) or the Master of Migration Studies (VI001Z). The PGCertMigS also acts as an exit qualification for the PGDipMigS and MMigs.

Minimum requirements

Completed a Bachelor s degree in a relevant area with at least a B grade average in 60 points of 300-level courses in the majoring subject or relevant area of study (or extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience that provides an equivalent level of preparation); and been accepted by the Head of School as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.
