What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this programme is to provide the health and social sector with graduates who have attained advanced knowledge and scholarship through application of research to their professional practice context.
This programme builds on the existing knowledge and experience of the graduate nurse, while providing an environment that ensures the supported acquisition of knowledge and skills in a specialty area. There are optional streams in Mental Health and Addiction Nursing, Change of Scope, and Medical Nursing.

Minimum requirements
Registered nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate (or equivalent), Bachelor degree (or equivalent); currently employed in a relevant clinical setting. Te Pou funded only: employed in a Ministry of Health funded mental health service (0.7 FTE or more).
