What can I expect out of this qualification?
On successful completion of Te aho Paerewa (Post Graduate Diploma Teaching & Learning in Māori Medium) graduates will have developed the exertise to meet the needs of learners enrolled in the Kura Kaupapa Māori system. Candidates will be able to teach in the compulsory primary schooling sector generally and Kura Kaupapa Māori in particular.

Minimum requirements
A Bachelors degree, with a minimum B average across the 200 & 300-level courses, or equivalent; and demonstrated fluency in Te Reo Mâori; and demonstrated competence in literacy and numeracy; and meet the requirements for registration as set down by the Education Council of New Zealand in terms of good character and fitness to be a teacher; selection process applies, Police Vetting, and interview.
