What can I expect out of this qualification?
The Bachelor of Horticultural Science programme aims to produce graduates with a broad knowledge of horticultural science, technology, production, logistics and pre- and post-harvest management with an applied focus on experiential learning and real world competencies. Graduates will be able to identify causes of food safety and quality problems, discuss and explain current issues and methods for managing food safety and quality across all sectors of the food industry. A key aim is to teach a food safety culture approach to avoid behavioural issues that are the core of most food safety issues.
