Entry requirements
A NZ University entrance qualification or equivalent, and the requirements set down by the New Zealand Teachers Council for registration as a teacher in Aotearoa/New Zealand in terms of good character and fitness to be a teacher. Students are selected into the programme.

Graduates will have a sound theoretical grounding and practical knowledge to meet the requirements of Kura Kaupapa Mâori, of Mâori Language immersion schools, of bilingual classes, and of the teaching profession where skills in Mâori language and tikanga Mâori are valued and sought. Graduates will be highly competent, knowledgeable and skilled as effective, reflective and creative teacher practitioners.
