About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates of the MSCL will have specialised sector leadership knowledge and will be equipped with the appropriate skills required to apply that knowledge in their chosen specialist field of practice. These graduates will fill a demand for these knowledge, skills, and dispositions as identified by the community and social service, not-for-profit and social enterprise sectors in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas. They will be critical, reflective leaders able to pursue both personal professional goals and further postgraduate study. In addition, graduates of the MSCL will be able to initiate, design, conduct and report independent and original research and/or programme evaluations for a defined project.

A Bachelors degree in a relevant subject; or a Bachelors degree or an equivalent relevant professional qualification and the Postgraduate Certificate in Social and Community Leadership, or equivalent qualification, and a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA).
