Entry requirements
Learners will apply for a place on the course through the MAST Academy enrolments office. Although there are no educational pre-requisite requirements to entry, learners must be able to manage study at Level 3.
Learner entry requirements for admission to this micro-credential include:
· Minimum of 16 years of age
· Must be New Zealand citizen or resident or Australian Citizen or permanent resident
English language requirements:
Applicant whose first language is not English, required to provide any of the following:
· evidence of successful completion of at least five years of secondary education from a country where the student was taught using English as medium of instruction
· successful completion of vocational certificate or diploma, of which the medium of instruction taught in English.
· IELTS at least 5.0 overall score or equivalent

What can I expect out of this qualification?
This micro-credential introduces school leavers and youths in New Zealand to boatbuilding, providing learners the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills in the boatbuilding industry to go onto a full boatbuilding apprenticeship.
