General admission: All applicants will be required to provide evidence showing intermediate knowledge and skills to study at this level. Applicants will be asked to:
- Provide evidence of proficiency (written and verbal)
- Complete a reo Māori diagnostic test.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to offer intermediate speakers of te reo Māori opportunities to develop confidence and accelerate proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing te reo Māori. This micro-credential aims to achieve this with a focus on karakia, mihimihi and karanga, and shaped through a te ao Māori lens. Graduates will contribute to an overall increase in the number of highly proficient reo Māori speakers across Aotearoa.
