What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide graduates with broad technical, theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to exercise tikanga in the archiving, preservation, curation and conservation of taonga tuku iho.

The qualification meets the need of whānau, hapū, iwi, communities and other entities who are wanting to grow capacity, capability and knowledge within their communities to lead the practice of archiving and preserving taonga tuku iho.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply a broad range of skills necessary to support their whānau, hapū, iwi and/or marae communities in the practice of archiving and preserving taonga tuku iho within their whānau, marae, hapū and iwi communities.
