About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The aim of this micro-credential is to provide IT administrators with knowledge and skills related to disaster recovery and business continuity. It also provides knowledge on International Standards for Information Security management (ISO 27000), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Data Security Standards (DSS) and New Zealand Information Security Manual (NZISM).

The target market for this course will be professional people seeking to specialise in disaster recovery and IT governance in the field of cybersecurity and information technology.

Minimum requirements

The entry requirements for this micro-credential are: Academic Entry Requirements: There are no compulsory academic entry requirements. However, it is recommended that learners enrolling in this course have a familiarity with IT systems and operations, as well as an understanding of risk management concepts. English Language Entry Requirements: Learners whose first language is not English must provide evidence of competency in English language equivalent to IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5.
