Entry requirements
Successful completion of Cloud Security micro-credential. All applicants for whom English or te reo Māori or New Zealand Sign Language is not a first language need to provide evidence that they have the necessary English language proficiency required for the programme.
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with people who have attained internationally transferrable industry-relevant knowledge and technical skills that will equip them to work in an entry-level roles in the specialised field of cybersecurity, or to proceed to further study. This micro-credential aims to increase the number of Māori and Pasifika, and women in technology. It is also designed to provide opportunities for ākonga with disabilities, and those who are under/unemployed.
Businesses, organisations and communities will benefit from having professionals who have developed a security mindset.
Graduates of this micro-credential will be capable of operating within the applicable professional standards and practice, both independently and as part of a team.
