Entry requirements

To be eligible for entry, trainees can be individuals unemployed or in employment or engaging with work related to the following industries including:
* Crane industry
* Scaffolding and access industry
* Manufacturing
* Construction industry

Applicants should demonstrate an ability to succeed in tertiary study shown by the completion of any of the following qualifications or courses of study:

* NCEA Level 1 Literacy requirements
* Overseas crane operation courses
* Overseas load rigging courses
* Workplace certificates of competency for crane operation

About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this micro-credential is to provide a pathway into industries where the skill sets that are required are to sling loads and communicate and direct crane operators, commonly referred to in industry as a (Dogman) Industries that require these skills include:
* Crane industry
* Scaffolding and access
* Manufacturing
* Construction
On successful completion of the Micro-credential graduates will be capable of working with limited supervision within their respective industry whilst now holding pre-requisite units to go on to further training.
