Successful applicants must be employed, or in the process of being employed, in the construction and
deconstruction industry, and have endorsement from their employer. Applicants will be individually
interviewed as part of the OCA Whanau Ora approach to assess their individual goals and possible requirements
for targeted assistance to achieve
About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This occupational competence-based course aims to enable learners to gain knowledge and experience of
working in the deconstruction industry. They will be able to work safely, competently and observe the
requirements of health and safety in soft stripping a small to medium timber framed building.
