About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The Postgraduate Diploma in Community Action & Social Impact (PGDipCAS) is designed to foster social change agents and to deepen their understanding of community action. Through the study of social justice in theory and practice, particularly those actions embedded in Māori and Pacific ways of being, students will engage in rigorous intellectual analysis and critical problem-solving. Graduates will develop and demonstrate advanced knowledge of their own positionality and their capability to drive change in authentic partnership with their communities. They will become confident practitioners of rangahau and research, able to evaluate the impact of existing change movements and to participate in wider discussion relating to social justice in Aotearoa New Zealand.
