What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Graduate Diploma in Engineering Technology with majors in Civil Engineering and in Mechanical Engineering is aimed at engineering professionals wishing to undertake a comprehensive programme of study in order to upgrade their qualifications and extend their knowledge and skills with the objective of obtaining employment or advancing their careers.
The aim of the Graduate Diploma is to develop graduates who have the intellectual rigour, skills and capability required by engineering practitioners, whilst satisfying the requirements of the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand for entry to engineering practice, leading (after further study and/or work experience) to professional recognition in the civil and mechanical engineering disciplines

Minimum requirements

Application by Academic Qualification Students will have completed all requirements of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as architecture, engineering, science, surveying, technology). Special Admission Application by Mature Entry (20 years of age and above) Notwithstanding the above admission criteria, mature aged applicants who can show evidence of ability to succeed in the programmes may be considered for admission, provided they have successfully completed an approved course or programme, or have relevant industry experience, which is deemed to meet the required standard for entry.
