What can I expect out of this qualification?
The qualification is intended for people wanting to utilise a broad range of knowledge and skills that are underpinned by Mātauranga Māori, Mātauranga Taiao and contemporary science to care for, develop, sustain, enhance and manage their own environments.
The qualification meets the need, of whānau, hapū and iwi and other entities wanting to enhance their rights as kaitiaki of their natural interests and resources.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply a broad range of skills in upholding the mana of whenua to preserve, nurture and enrich Mātauranga Taiao for current and future generations.
The purpose of this qualification is to provide whānau, hapū and iwi with graduates who will be able to apply theoretical, technical and practical skills to be able to provide solutions and processes for environmental concerns for the benefit of their communities
