Diploma in ICT (Support & Operations)

Applicants must have a Diploma in IT (Level 5) or equivalent knowledge and skills. If English is not their first language and for International students an overall IELTS band score of at least 6.0 is required with no band score lower than 5.5, or evidence must be provided of equivalent English language proficiency.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this diploma is to provide New Zealand with graduates who have updated knowledge and specialist skills to remain current in a specific area of ICT S Support & Operations, in response to the changing needs and demands of the dynamic ICT environment. The graduates will obtain specific knowledge and technical skills to design, configure, maintain and manage computer networks, infrastructure, cloud computing platforms and other ICT services. Alongside the technical knowledge, graduates will be empowered to have a strong customer focus, integrity, and solid analytical skills.
Graduates will be capable of applying current ICT Professional skills, knowledge and practice that will be internationally recognised. They will be able to operate with appropriate professional standards and practice, both independently and as part of a team. Businesses, organisations and communities will benefit from having an on-going supply of ICT Professionals who are experienced and qualified in an area of their current ICT field.
