About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification will provide Aotearoa New Zealand, the exercise industry, clients and the community with graduates who have the skills and knowledge of exercise prescription across a variety of exercise environments.
Graduates will be able to design and deliver advanced technical and personalised exercise programmes. They will have broad operational, theoretical and practical knowledge of exercise processes and self-manage their own promotion and performance.
Graduates will operate within a framework of health and wellness in relation to individual, group or community needs and can apply their skills to contribute to the cultural, social, and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Graduates will be eligible to register with the New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed NZ3563 New Zealand Certificate in Exercise (Level 4), or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge. If English is the not the applicant's first language, candidates will need an IELTS (Academic) score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5, or equivalent. Applicants must: * have an appropriate level of personal fitness to enable successful participation in the training and assessment, which can include moderate to strenuous physical activity * attend an pre-enrolment interview
