About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification will provide Aotearoa New Zealand with graduates who have the skills and knowledge to operate under indirect supervision to deliver exercise instruction for individuals within the general population.
Graduates will operate within a framework of health and wellness in relation to individual, group or community needs and contribute to the cultural, social and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Graduates can adapt and deliver appropriate exercise programmes and will have knowledge of exercise training principles and concepts.
Graduates will be eligible to register with the New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals
Key Information for Students
Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
NCEA Level 2 (including Literacy 10 credits at Level 2 and Numeracy 10 Credits at Level 1) OR Equivalent academic achievement OR On a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Executive Dean. The minimum entry requirement for international students is IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5 (or equivalent including TOEFL). All applicants must complete a health declaration form.
