About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the community with advisors who can apply scientific knowledge of the human body to assist people with the prevention of lifestyle based health issues.
Graduates working under supervision will be able to contribute to wellbeing by advocating for good nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices based on current health science and wellness trends.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
[DOM L5.1] - Domestic applicants under 20 and all international applicants must have NCEA Level 2 with passes in English/Te Reo Maori or education achievement at least equivalent to NCEA Level 2 and a minimum of 42 credits at level 3 English as a second language [DOM L5.2] For applicants for whom English is not their first language, evidence of language competency may be required. International applicants for whom English is not their first language will be required to show evidence of language competency, issued within the last two years. The level of competency required is: IELTS academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5, or completed NZ Certificate in English Language Level 4 with a general or employment endorsement, or meets a relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined in NZQF related Rules (Rule 18) The Table.
