What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is intended for learners who are seeking to develop a range of essential skills and knowledge in the skin care, beauty and related industries.
These sectors will benefit by having access to graduates with the skills and knowledge to competently and safely undertake a range of essential skin care and make-up services within workplaces where skin care, make-up and other cosmetics products are applied and sold.
Graduates of this qualification will have developed practical application of knowledge and skills in preparation for further study but will also be capable of working with initial supervision in a skin care and beauty context.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Students must be 16 years of age, proficient in the use and understanding of spoken and written English and have completed Year 11(NCEA Level 1) or equivalent training experience. International students must have IELTS 5 or equivalent (see the NZQA requirements). There are no academic entry requirements for this programme. All applicants are assessed on their merits, not only on their academic achievement
