About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

This qualification is for individuals who wish to develop their career as a professional performer in the Performing Arts industry in a non-traditional performing arts discipline such as Pasifika, Musical Theatre, Circus Arts or other non-defined and emerging arts. This qualification is not intended for individuals wishing to focus on Dance, Drama or Music.

It provides the performing arts industry with individuals who have advanced technical proficiency and artistry to perform as a professional performer in their chosen discipline.

Graduates can contribute to the cultural, social and economic life of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Minimum requirements

NCEA L2 or equivalent and evidence of ability based on an audition. IELTS Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5 (or equivalent including TOEFL).
