What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Bachelor of Applied Management is a qualification designed to prepare graduates for employment in a range of business environments and organisations at both operational and strategic management levels.
Learners will develop knowledge and skills that will enable them to work from an innovative, inquiring, and collaborative perspective in a range of business and management roles within Aotearoa/ New Zealand and internationally. Learners will select one of the following majors: Business Management; Human Resource
Management; Marketing; Accounting; and Finance.
Graduates may also choose to pursue further study at graduate or postgraduate levels in business management related areas.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Brief Entry Requirements NCEA Level 3; or evidence of ability to complete academic requirements for the programme; or New Zealand Certificate at Level 4 (a relevant field recommended); OR Special entry. AND English language competency where English is not a first language. Detailed Requirements For Certificate and Diploma programmes at Levels 5, 6 and 7, domestic students under 20 and all international students must have: NCEA Level 3; or evidence of ability to complete academic requirements for the programme; or New Zealand Certificate at Level 4 (a relevant field recommended). OR Special entry: Applicants who do not meet the academic requirements may be given special admission if they can provide evidence that they are capable of achieving the programme outcomes. Special admission may also apply for applicants over 20 years AND English language competency where English is not a first language. International applicants for whom English is not their first language will be required to show evidence of language competency, issued within the last two years. The minimum level of competency required is: IELTS Academic score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or an equivalent relevant English Proficiency Outcome as outlined in NZQF related rules (Rule 18). For domestic applicants for whom English is not their first language, evidence of language competency may be required.
