What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the kitchen and bathroom industry with graduates who have the knowledge and skills required to design functional and aesthetic kitchens and bathrooms from conception to implementation for new and existing residential dwellings.
This qualification is for people working in the industry who wish to gain the knowledge and skills to become a qualified kitchen designer or bathroom designer.
The strands in this qualification recognise the specific knowledge and skills required for Kitchen Design and Bathroom Design.
The optional strand in Light Commercial Design allows graduates to be recognised for the specific additional knowledge and skills required to design for commercial spaces as related to their chosen strand in Kitchen Design or Bathroom Design.
Graduates will be able to work independently in dynamic and varied contexts, provide leadership to others and manage their own learning to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
