Minimum requirements
To enter Year 1 applicants must: a) have completed Te Tiwhikete Nga Poutoko Whakarara Oranga Certificate in Social Services (Biculturalism in Practice) Level 4; OR b) any level four qualification of at least 120 credits; OR c) have two years full time work experience within the field of social services AND: d) provide supportive references from two appropriate people within the field of social services; AND e) completes and submits the Criminal Disclaimer Form and the Police Vetting form; AND (applicants will be advised of the results and acceptance into the programme) AND f) demonstrates personal suitability to meet the entry criteria towards completing this programme. Year 2 Entry into Year Two of the degree is available for tauira who are a) eligible for cross credit or recognition of prior learning s to a maximum of 120 credits; OR b) holds a relevant qualification; OR c) has extensive practice experience; AND d) has been working in social services in New Zealand for at least two of the last five years; AND: e) provides supportive references from 2 people within the field of social services; AND f) completes and submits the Criminal Disclaimer Form and the Police Vetting form; (applicants will be advised of the results and acceptance into the programme) AND g) demonstrates personal suitability to meet the entry criteria towards completing this programme. NOTE: the applicant will also need to attend a workshop and an interview with one of the tutors
