About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the seafood sector with people who are able to work as specialists and in managerial positions in a seafood processing operation on land or at sea, or harvesting or fishing activities.

This qualification is for people who are already working in the Seafood industry and wish to gain the skills to move to a specialist technical role.

The seafood sector will benefit from having established standards of specialist technical performance for specific seafood operations that can provide domestic and/or international markets with confidence in a quality range of seafood products.

Graduates will be capable of operating at a specialist technical level without supervision, and will have responsibility for managing others.
