What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is for people who want to develop more of an understanding of tikanga within a specialist field founded on a Māori worldview.
Graduates of this qualification will have more knowledge and skills to support and participate in the practice of tikanga under guided supervision.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply knowledge fundamental to tikanga practices across the community in general.

Minimum requirements
Entry Requirements * be at least 16 years of age and be a citizen or permanent resident of NZ. * be able to read, write and communicate in English at a proficient level. * some knowledge of te reo mo nga tikanga Maori is desirable but not essential. NB: This is an entry level qualification designed for people who intend to further their studies in nga tikanga o rongoa Maori. It is not associated with professional registration and does not imply a tohunga of practice.
