About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The Graduate Diploma in Audio Engineering and Production aims to give students with a relevant undergraduate degree, or a level 6 diploma, the opportunity to immerse themselves in a year of audio engineering topics at Level 7.
International students who have already studied engineering in the audio field overseas will be attracted to the applied nature of the level 7 core and elective courses. Domestic students who have a diploma in the wider music industry environment recognize that in the 21st century many musicians need to be multi skilled in order to survive.
An ability to move between the various areas of the music industry is increasingly demanded, and graduate diploma students will be able to consolidate their current skills and add to them through the electives. The GD AEP is also an excellent 'refresher' qualification to add to a practitioners' currency.
The above, in turn, lead to differing graduate profiles. Please note that in the degree graduate profile the practical tasks staircase into processes which require more independent thought and application; and finally to advanced problem solving and business skills in the music/audio environment.
