What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the mining and quarrying industry with managers with a broad base of technical expertise and skills in leadership and medium- to long-term operational planning.

The mining and quarrying industry includes surface and underground sectors.

The surface sector can include mining, quarrying, and/or processing. The underground sector can include mining or tunnelling.

This qualification is targeted at experienced workers from within the industry, or supervisors with related experience.

Learners will benefit from having a qualification that recognises advanced technical and leadership skills and knowledge, enabling improved job performance, and a credential that enhances employment opportunities.
