What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification is designed for ākonga/learners wanting to develop broad technical skills and conceptual knowledge in fashion design creative practice.
The fashion industry and related fields of creativity will benefit from graduates who can apply creative capabilities in fashion design.
Graduates will be able to operate independently in creative and commercial fashion environments.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Successful completion of the New Zealand Certificate in Fashion (Level 4), or Application by Academic Qualification Applicants under 20 years: Applicants should be a minimum of 18 years of age, have completed a minimum of 4 years secondary education, and have attained a minimum of 12 NCEA credits at Level 2. Applicants over 20 years: Applicants over the age of 20 years will be considered where they can demonstrate the ability to succeed in a programme. They may be admitted subject to programme regulations approved by the Head of Faculty in consultation with the Programme Manager as appropriate. Personal commitment and a belief in one s own ability to succeed are important personal traits and will always be taken into consideration during the selection process.
