About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide Aotearoa New Zealand with people who have the technical capability to develop and apply skills in the concept and execution of web development and interface design, including customising or developing web solutions. Graduates will be able to operate within the applicable professional standards and practice, collaboratively as part of a team or independently under broad supervision, with skills that are industry relevant.
Businesses, organisations and communities will benefit from having IT Professionals who can design and develop websites and demonstrate an ability to work in Agile development environments, in all sectors of the economy and society.
Graduates of this qualification will have the web development skills that will enable them to contribute to society, supporting digital proficiency and capability in a range of community and voluntary areas, and proceed to further study.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
All applications for admission to this programme are reviewed by Mission Ready to ensure that every applicant meets the admission and selection requirements stated below. All applicants for admission to this programme must be either (a) New Zealand citizens; or (b) permanent residents of New Zealand. Evidence of citizenship or permanent residency must be produced at the time of application for admission. All applicants for admission to this programme must be able to demonstrate a level of English language fluency that is equivalent to the requirements of NZEA Level 2 or higher. Where no acceptable evidence of language fluency exists, applicants may be required to take an appropriate language assessment test. In the event that there are more applications for admission than places available, the selection of successful applicants will be determined by telephone or video-enabled interview. Unsuccessful applicants will be referred to an appropriate alternative course or programme, and invited to apply again once they have completed that course.
