What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the forest industry with individuals who have the skills and knowledge required to operate at a production level in an operational role in a forest harvesting operation.
Graduates will have an understanding of safety, environmental and quality requirements of working in a forest harvesting operation. They will work under limited supervision to meet productivity requirements.
The qualification includes four strands which represent distinct activities undertaken in harvesting operations.

Minimum requirements
All applicants must: Be 16 years old at the time the programme commences; Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level; Be physically able to complete the programme specific outcomes Applicants for whom English is not a first language must have an IELTS general or academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5; or an accepted international equivalence.
