About the course

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the air traffic services sector with individuals who have the theoretical knowledge to be working towards gaining a trainee licence under International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Traffic Service requirements. The qualification is designed to meet the global training and education needs of both domestic and international trainees.
The qualification includes theoretical knowledge and skills in keeping with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulatory requirements for air traffic services.

Entry Requirements

Minimum requirements

Academic Requirements Applicants must have one of the following A minimum of Level 2 NCEA and 42 credits at Level 3 or equivalent. or A New Zealand Private Pilots Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence. English Language Requirements All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Those students whose first language is not English will have an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall Academic score of 5.5 issued within the last 2 years.
