What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification provides a pre-employment qualification for people entering the tourism industry in a range of supervised entry level positions across different tourism career pathways.
Graduates will have basic knowledge, skills and personal attributes required as a base for further training, sufficient to support future employment opportunities, to enhance the visitor experience, and to recognise the importance of sustainable and regenerative tourism.
Indigenous values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga in relation to travel and tourism may be encompassed in the holistic outcomes of this qualification.
