What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is:
- To provide competent employees for the hotel sector who are able to work as receptionists in a hotel.
- To provide a credential for those employed as receptionists or interested in a career as receptionists, that will enhance their employment opportunities across a range of establishments in the hospitality sector.
- To establish standards of professional practice for experienced receptionists that can provide customers with confidence in the range of receptionist services provided in a hotel.
Graduates will be able to operate under limited supervision as a receptionist in a hotel, including full responsibility for the provision of reception services to guests, and limited responsibility for the performance of others.
